Public invited to free event at Civic Auditorium

The public is invited to a free showing of “Unbeaten,” an international award-winning and awe-inspiring feature length documentary that chronicles 31 wheelchair racers as they take on the most difficult road race in the world. The free event includes the showing of the documentary as well as a live performance by Ricky John and Friends starting at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 5 at the Everett Civic Auditorium, 2415 Colby Ave. in downtown Everett. The showing is sponsored by the Everett School District and the City of Everett. Cascade High School graduate Gregory Strom, Producer of “Unbeaten”, will be in Everett to present the movie. Strom currently resides in Venice, Calif.   Also, Oz Sanchez, 2008 Beijing Paralympic Gold Medalist who

Another Amtrak post? Passenger recounts bomb scare on her way to Everett.

Earlier this week a bomb scare halted more than 50 trains and caused delays for 150 Amtrak passengers near Browning, MT. Amtrak officials originally told passengers the cause of the delay was due to a train derailment but were then told about the bomb threat. 3KRTV, Great Falls, MT.  spoke to one passenger who had a run-in with the suspect earlier that day.
