Everett Author teaches how to heal ourselves and our Earth
denisegl | October 19, 2010 | 4:30 pm

Have you been asking yourselves what all the hoopla is about concerning the year 2012? “What’s it all about,” you say? If it’s the end of the world, should I cancel my life insurance or can our cousins on another planet use it? Exactly. Well, no not exactly. Actually, it’s about shutting down the hoopla and learning how to find the inner peace that we will never reach by watching the news.  But blogs are okay. Everett Author, Roy Holman sheds light on the fears surrounding 2012 with discussions, meditations and lessons that he currently is sharing with Everett.  Although Roy teaches around the globe we are lucky that he chooses to call Everett home. It is locally that he has been guiding students for many years and wants to help you discover the journey of staying passionate and positive in evolutionary times.  Roy coaches how to attain wellness by healing your past, loving your present and creating your future. He will be conducting a workshop beginning 1:00pm this Sunday October 19 at Unity Center for Positive Living 3231 Colby Avenue.  Roy also invites all to an on-going book discussion about the topics covered in his newly released book Healing Self, Healing Earth: Awakening Presence, Power and Passion Thursday nights from 4:30-5:30pm at the YMCA of Snohomish County  2720 Rockefeller Ave. Healing Self, Healing earth is a book that reads easily and answers many of the tough questions that we all ask ourselves. Roy inspires the reader to breath through anxiety and let it all just be. He walks the reader through the moments that we may hide from but we actually share and how to transform the negative energy into something that makes us better. Read more »

Von Flake (top left) and a few volunteers clean up after the Dinner Bell Outreach at 1st. Congregational UCC

A big part in the creation of EverettWablog is to focus on the positive side of the Everett community and to bring light upon all aspects of our city’s people, events and things that inspire or make us simply think. Sometimes not all things turn out good but everything has an influence which I believe shifts our perceptions and can make things better. There are so many people that I have met in Everett that are shining stars. They have helped me change for the better and I love to share what they are about.

It’s 5:00 on a Thursday night. Von Flake is leading his team of dinner bell troops in the kitchen of First Congregational UCC of Everett.  Every Thursday he and a few volunteers choose a complete balanced menu with dessert included. Tonight and every Thursday he will lead in feeding the homeless and hungry citizens of Everett. Read more »
