Bill Clinton at the Flying Heritage Collection

The Flying Heritage Collection was packed with people today excited to see former President Bill Clinton. The atmosphere was extremely positive and inspiring. Everett Mayor Ray Stephenson began the rally. He pitched the positive aspects of Senator Patty Murray’s campaign along with the combined passion of the citizens of Everett and Snohomish County. Also on deck was Congressman Rick Larsen who took a picture of the audience and then tweeted it. A good laugh was had when Larsen began the sentence “Our competitor…” only to be finished by a crowd member who yelled “IS FULL OF CRAP!” Patty Murray shared her goals to keep Boeing workers working and to keep families on health insurance as well as making Snohomish County a leader in financial recovery. Bill Clinton then spoke supporting Murray and motivated the audience to engage those that did not attend the rally because they are the ones who need to hear the message. Vickie and Rick Bligh, event volunteers attended the event and spoke to me about the importance of supporting the democratic committee. Vickie’s family has lived in Snohomish County since 1888 and she holds onto the values that she was raised with. “We’re just democratic and we love it here. Read more »
