The Washington Stealth took on the Edmonton Rush in the NLL Western Division Finals on Saturday night at Key Arena in a dramatic and hard fought contest. Trailing for practically the entire game, the Rush tied up the game 11–11 with 20 seconds left in the 4th quarter. The stunned Stealth fans didn’t anticipate overtime. At the ensuing faceoff, Paul Rabil picked up a loose ball and ran full speed toward the Edmonton goal. With incredible patience and skill, Rabil charged full steam, but waited to shoot until Edmonton goalie Matt Disher moved to his left for Rabil’s fake. Rabil quickly leaped and shot the ball in top shelf. The dreaded overtime only lasted eight seconds.

The Bombsquad reacted to Rabil’s heroics, creating a high decible volume of a sports crowd, the kind of which that hasn’t been heard at Key Arena in years. It was an emotional roller coaster for the fans, who truly appreciated this playoff win.
