Saturday August, 21, ONLY! Beach opens at 10 am for Float Find! Search the beach for your very own glass sea float.  Jetty Island is a two-mile long, man-made island with rare sandy beaches and shallow warm water.  This is a free community activity, so please only take ONE FLOAT PER PERSON as there is a limited supply available for the event. After you find your float bring it back to the information booth on the Jetty and one of our volunteers will check to see if your float is a winner! Each float is numbered and two of the float numbers will be chosen at random to win a $50 Arts Council gift certificate.  Getting to the Jetty – The Jetty Island Ferry will begin running on Saturday, August 21, at 8:30 am with trips every 15-20 minutes.  However, the beach will not open for the Float Find until 10 am.  The last ferry on Saturday departs the island at 8:50 pm.  The early boats are to allow as many people as possible the opportunity to find a float, but participants will not be allowed to start searching until 10 am.

The free Jetty ferry departs from the 10th Street Boat Launch and Marine
Park, located at 10th Street and W. Marine View Drive.  Donations to help
offset the cost of the ferry service are greatly appreciated.  Pick up your
individual boarding passes at the kiosk located in the park. Visit for more information about Jetty Island.

200 Floats will be hidden on Saturday ONLY along the beach in the sand and
driftwood.  After departing the ferry take one of the trails to the beach area. More info at
